WestGate Technology Park Semiconductor Fab

NHanced Semiconductors planned to build a 100,000-sf semiconductor fabrication facility within the WestGate Technology Park. The semiconductor fab would be the first of its kind in the United States to enable advanced packaging (AP) of semiconductors, a process which allows multiple devices to be merged and packaged as one electronic device.

Due to the extremely complex nature of the semiconductor fabrication process, several areas of the facility were designed specifically for AP which included: cleanrooms, test area, virtual design center, office, warehouse, and building support. MNA had to meticulously design a facility to support the precise environmental controls and advanced automation processes needed to create a highly specialized manufacturing environment.

MNA provided HVAC design, electrical systems design, and other mechanical, electrical and plumbing scopes of work including chiller services, a water pressure booster, liquid nitrogen storage and distribution, deionized (DI) water system, compressed air system, vacuum system, and a standby generator. This dynamic collaboration between MNA and the client resulted in a successful, unique and high-value project.
