Saab, Inc. opened its seventh US manufacturing plant in West Lafayette, IN, to build portions of the T-7A Red Hawk aircraft. Located in Purdue’s Discovery Park District, the new assembly plant would create a larger footprint for Saab in the US bring economic opportunities to the local community, and a partnership with Purdue University.
MNA provided engineering of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems to construct a 92,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility used to build fuselages for jet fighter aircraft which would employ an estimated 300 people. Additionally, 18,000 sq. ft. of office space was designed within the facility.
MNA participated in the detailed design process, creating construction documents and providing construction administration to successfully complete the project, which was completed on time and within budget.
