Formerly an active space for patient care on the medical campus at Indiana University, Gatch Hall now serves as an academic center supporting health-related departments on campus. The air handling unit (AHU) serving the fourth floor of Gatch Hall needed replacement.
The existing mechanical space was inadequate for the AHU. To accommodate the new equipment, MNA developed a design to expand the mechanical room to ensure operational and safety concerns.
MNA provided IU with architectural design, and mechanical and electrical engineering design to accomplish the successful project results. The new AHU not only met the space requirements but also helped IU representatives achieve their energy efficiency goals while providing a comfortable environment for learning.
