Cummins Inc. New HD Test Cell

Cummins, Inc. is an American multinational corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products. Cummins, Inc. representatives needed a new high definition (HD) container test cell including test utility racks which would require connection to the central plant utilities. The utilities required for the new HD test cell included: power, test cell ventilation, engine exhaust, compressed air, diesel fuel, engine coolant, process water, and enhanced IT infrastructure.

Cummins, Inc. was installing a new HD container test cell within the light duty technical center and asked for MNA’s assistance. This complex installation required the development of piping plans, detail drawings, equipment schedules, and electrical and structural plans.

MNA successfully designed the new HD test cell and provided mechanical engineering, computer aided design and drafting (CADD), and electrical engineering expertise. The MNA project manager was in close communication with Cummins, Inc. representatives throughout the duration of the project, ensuring that all the objectives were met to deliver the new, state-of-the-art test cell.
