A pharmaceutical client harnesses the power of biotechnology, chemistry and genetic medicine while urgently advancing science to solve some of the world’s most significant health challenges. Company representatives asked MNA to renovate the existing 9,500 SF of existing chemical and biology labs into flexible laboratories. The scope of work included new, variable supply and exhaust valves serving each lab and a new high-plume exhaust system.
The new flexible laboratory needed to provide Integrated Work Place (IWP) areas within the existing research building. This involved complete removal of the main utilities and the interstitial space above.
MNA provided a new flexible layout that included mobile casework and work surfaces throughout the laboratory. The new utilities included HVAC, domestic water, purified water, nitrogen, clean compressed air, vacuum, solvent waste, power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, data and BMS controls. The project met customer expectations and was completed on time and within budget.
