Highland Hills Middle School Boiler Replacement

The New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation needed to replace five boiler systems at the Highland Hills Middle School. The project required oversight through all phases of design including: the design, bidding phase, construction phase, and commissioning.

The replacement of the five existing boilers had specific challenges that included: relocation of the natural gas heater to maintain installation clearance, relocation of the boiler combustion intake header and vent header and routing of the duct through the roof. The building management system also needed to be connected to the hardware points within the new boiler configuration.

MNA provided engineering services and valuable expertise during this complex project scope. The solution resulted in an operational, multiple boiler replacement that was safe, functional and more energy efficient. The New Albany Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation was very satisfied with the project outcome.
