Morton Arboretum

The Morton Arboretum is a tree-focused botanical garden and research center whose mission is to collect, display, and conserve trees and other plants from around the world to inspire learning, foster enjoyment, benefit communities, encourage action and enhance the environment. The Morton had commissioned an artist to create, ship and install five works of art to be displayed on site for a scheduled event.

Upon delivery of the artwork, the artist did not have a project manager on staff to manage the artwork’s installation at the arboretum. The Morton representatives felt that having a dedicated project manager would benefit the artist to reach her goals and effectively display the work.

MNA acted as a liaison between the artist and The Morton by providing coordination support to the artist while organizing the packing and shipping arrangements, collaborating with on-site stakeholders and outside vendors, and documenting and facilitating the installation of the art sculptures. MNA’s knowledge and expertise of museum services enabled the artist to meet the exhibition dates and successfully complete the project.
